Glass kilns
Glass kilns are concentrated at the western part of the northern Spessart. Their locations were chosen in close relation to the main highways.
The map correlates the sites of glass kilns with a 3 kilometres buffer around the highways. The important correlation of highways and glass kilns becomes so clearly visible. 89,6 % of all registered glass kilns are situated within a 3 kilometres zone along the highways.
