The Spessart belongs to the highland of central Germany.
The rivers Main, Kinzig and Sinn form natural borders for the upland-landscape
of the Spessart.
The aim of the project is a GIS-based analysis of the cultural landscape of
the Spessart-region.
Data from both natural and cultural sciences, which are intertwined with the
Spessart area, are collected, modelled and processed in the GIS-database.
