Valjala stronghold is the last pre-Christian stronghold in Saaremaa. It measures 120 by 110 meters, with walls that are still five to eight meters high. In 1227 20 years of battles against the invading Crusaders ended here.

Among the medieval castles in the Baltic countries this is the one that has survived best. The castle was built of chiselled dolomite blocks in the late 14th century. The basic plan of the building is a square with sides 43 metres.
10.00 Panga cliff at Mustjala - the highest clint on the northern coast of Saaremaa and Muhu. It reaches up to 21.3 meters. An ancient place of sacrifice.
Angla windmills - Angla, in 1925 a home of 13 farms with nine windmills. Now the last windmill hill with five remaining windmills.
Karja church - smallest church in Saaremaa, dating from the 14th century, with fragments of interesting wall frescoes.
